For residential contractors
“Give me a hard number.” Get it signed before you leave the driveway.
Build the quote from your price book, at your prices and your costs, so you see the margin before the customer sees the total. Text them a link with good, better, and best. They pick one, sign on their phone, and pay the deposit.
Free plan: 5 quote links a month, no card needed. Runs in your phone’s browser; add it to your Home Screen.

How it works
Three steps, one driveway.
- Scope it.Say or type “10x10 pad, mesh, sawcut, 3 hours excavator.” HardNumber drafts line items from your price book and does the math. Add photos and up to four options.
- Send the link.Text or share a private link. It opens on any phone with no app or account, shows your branding, photos, options, totals, and terms, and never shows your costs.
- They pick, sign, and pay.The customer chooses an option, signs with their name or finger, and pays the deposit by card. You see viewed → accepted → deposit paid, and the job flips to won.
In the app today
Accurate because it’s your numbers, not a guess.
Sell price and cost for every assembly. Set them to your market once; every quote after uses them.
Up to four options on one quote with their own totals, so the customer picks a tier instead of a competitor.
One tap to text it. See when it was opened and how many times. Re-send after changes; signed quotes lock.
Typed name plus an optional finger signature. Time, IP address, and the chosen option are recorded with it.
Connect your own Stripe account and the deposit goes straight to you. HardNumber never holds the money.
Set a minimum margin. You get a warning before sending under it; on Team, the owner can lock it so estimators can’t.
A free account backs up every job and syncs your phones. Lose the phone, keep the jobs.
Text a one-time invite link. Estimators quote; view-only users can look but not change anything.
Quotes, photos, and PDFs work offline. Changes sync when you’re back in range.
Branded PDF with your license and terms. Change orders stay tied to the original job; turn won jobs into invoices.
Coming soon
Making the number harder.
Not in the app yet. We’re building these next and will say so when they ship.
Pull dimensions and quantities from site photos instead of the tape.
Material costs from suppliers near the job, not last year’s sheet.
Labor hours that tighten up from the jobs you actually finished.
Send won jobs and invoices to QuickBooks without retyping them.

Questions
Straight answers.
Do I need an account?
No. HardNumber works on one phone with no account, like a notebook. A free account adds cloud backup, syncing across phones and crew, and customer quote links.
Where does deposit money go?
Straight to your own Stripe account. HardNumber doesn’t hold it and doesn’t take a cut today. Stripe charges its normal card fees.
Does it work in a basement with no signal?
Yes. After the first open it runs offline, PDFs included. Changes sync when you have signal again. Sending a customer link needs a connection.
What trades is it for?
Residential trades that quote by the unit: concrete, flatwork, excavating, drainage, siding, roofing, and similar. The price book is yours, so add whatever you sell.
Can I cancel?
Any time, in Plan & billing. You keep paid features until the end of the period, then drop to Free with your data intact. Your first paid subscription has a 14-day money-back guarantee.
